Started as
music makers.
SoundRave started as a music production team. As Kondo — musician and engineer — worked deeper into the craft, small frustrations piled up: effects that didn't quite feel right, tools that got in the way of ideas. That friction is what pushed Kondo to start building plugins.
Every plugin exists to solve a problem I actually had, or to chase a sound I couldn't find anywhere else.
Concepts
Good Sound
Not high-fidelity for its own sake. Good sound means sound that lifts creativity — comfortable, musical, and honest. The kind that makes you want to keep working.
Analog and Digital, Both
No nostalgia worship, no digital arrogance. Vintage circuits and modern algorithms each have something real to offer. I enjoy both and borrow freely from either.
Musician-First Design
Being both a musician and an engineer means bad UX is personal. If a plugin interrupts the flow or takes too long to understand, it doesn't ship.
