Pastel Drive is an audio overdrive effect for iPhone and iPad.

The iOS version is available first. The Laptop version is coming soon.

Shape the effect with Drive, Bass, Treble and Level, then use Mix to blend the processed signal with the original audio. Use the standalone app with an audio input, or load the included AUv3 effect in a compatible audio host.

Circuit-informed drive and tone

The overdrive models a feedback-diode op-amp stage from component values. Its nonlinear diode and feedback-capacitor behavior is solved as a circuit, with selectable Off (1x), 2x or 4x oversampling around the nonlinear stage to manage aliasing. The active Baxandall Bass and Treble section is derived from component values and pot response, rather than a pair of generic tone shelves.

Set the drive and tone

Drive shapes the amount of overdrive. Bass and Treble provide Baxandall-style tone shaping, while Level sets the output. Use Mix to blend the processed signal with the original.

Standalone and AUv3

Use PastelDrive as a standalone effect with an audio input, or load it as an AUv3 effect in a compatible host on iPhone or iPad.

The app includes a 10-minute active-processing demo shared by the standalone app and AUv3. After the allowance is used, audio is muted for 24 hours before another demo is available. A one-time, non-consumable Full Unlock removes the demo limit. Purchase and restore in the standalone app; the AUv3 extension shares verified access.

PastelDriveは、iPhoneおよびiPad向けのオーディオ・オーバードライブ・エフェクトです。

Drive、Bass、Treble、Levelでエフェクトを調整し、Mixを使って処理された信号と元の音声をブレンドします。音声入力を使用したスタンドアロンアプリとして、または互換性のあるオーディオホストに付属のAUv3エフェクトを読み込んで使用できます。

回路モデルに基づくドライブとトーン

オーバードライブ段には、部品値に基づくダイオード帰還型オペアンプ回路モデルを採用しています。非線形なダイオードと帰還コンデンサーの挙動を回路として解き、非線形段にはOff（1x）、2x、4xのオーバーサンプリングを選択できます。Bass/TrebleのアクティブBaxandall段も、汎用的なトーンシェルフではなく、部品値とポットの特性に基づいて構成しています。

iOS版を先行リリースしています。Laptop版は近日公開予定です。

ドライブとトーンの設定

Driveでオーバードライブの量を調整します。BassとTrebleでBaxandallスタイルのトーンシェイピングを行い、Levelで出力を設定します。Mixを使って、エフェクト音と原音をブレンドします。

スタンドアロンとAUv3

PastelDriveは、音声入力を備えたスタンドアロンのエフェクトとして使用することも、iPhoneやiPad上の互換性のあるホストでAUv3エフェクトとして読み込んで使用することもできます。

このアプリには、スタンドアロンアプリとAUv3で共有される10分間のアクティブ処理デモが含まれています。制限時間を使い切ると、次のデモが利用可能になるまで24時間音声がミュートされます。一度限りの買切りの「フルアンロック」を購入すると、デモの制限が解除されます。購入および復元はスタンドアロンアプリで行い、AUv3拡張機能側は認証されたアクセスを共有します。
