Dual-circuit distortion

RAUSI is the harder-hit side of the Yukar Series. Where ORORON aims for clarity and open movement, RAUSI pushes into a more forceful voice with stronger midrange insistence, faster attack feel, and a denser sense of impact.

It is built to cover two different kinds of heavy behavior inside one plug-in: one side leans toward an abrasive, wall-like saturation, while the other opens up more EQ-directed shaping for riffs that need clearer focus and placement.

Control map

ControlRole
InputSets the level hitting the distortion stages
DriveChanges the saturation depth and aggression of the modeled gain structure
OutputAdjusts the final output level after tone shaping
LowShapes low-end weight and body
MidSets the amount of midrange emphasis or cut
HighShapes top-end bite and edge
Mid FreqMoves the center frequency of the midrange focus
9V / 18VChanges headroom and saturation behavior
INST / LINEAdapts the front end for instrument or line-level sources
FLOE / CRAGSwitches between the two distortion personalities
x2 / x4Selects oversampling depth for the nonlinear stages

Suggested starting points

  • Focused heavy riff: Use CRAG with stronger mids and moderate high-end lift for articulate modern gain.
  • Scooped aggression: Pull the mids back, push low and high, and let the mode carry the weight for larger metal rhythm tones.
  • Wall texture: Use FLOE with hotter drive for dense, abrasive saturation on guitars, bass, or parallel synth distortion.
  • Low-tuned control: Run INST mode with x4 oversampling to keep heavier low registers tighter and less splashy.

Why RAUSI stands out

Two distinct high-gain circuit personalities live inside one plug-in, with FLOE / CRAG mode switching at the center.
Active low, mid, and high shaping gives RAUSI more surgical control than a fixed one-voice distortion.
9V / 18V supply behavior changes how the saturation grips, compresses, and releases.
x2 / x4 oversampling helps the clipping stages stay dense without turning brittle at higher drive settings.

Two heavy voices, one front panel

RAUSI is built around two contrasting high-gain personalities: one pushes toward a dense wall-like grind, while the other offers a tighter, more controllable voice with deeper EQ authority. The result is a distortion that can move from blunt-force texture to more deliberate riff sculpting without leaving the same product frame.

Stronger edge, tighter shove

RAUSI takes the Yukar Series into a denser, more assertive distortion voice. It aims for a sound that stays immediate at the pick and heavy in the body, without losing the shape of the original phrase.

Where the name comes from

RAUSI takes its image from Mount Rausu in the Shiretoko World Heritage region and from the sharp, frozen drift ice of the Okhotsk coast. The plug-in turns those two contrasting surfaces into sound: CRAG is shaped after the monumental rocky face of Rausu-dake, while FLOE draws from the colder, harder edge of drifting sea ice.

Yukar Series

RAUSI sits inside the Yukar Series alongside REPUN, ON'NENIKUR, and ORORON. Each plug-in starts from a different musical image, but they share direct controls, strong character, and production-ready focus.
